Dr. Cotton currently is the Head of Account Team Enablement at Microsoft, focused on State & Local Government & Education. Prior to that, she was a Chief Transformation Officer focused on Microsoft’s Global Partner Solutions business. She has served as a leader in sales enablement, sales strategy, revenue operations, customer & partner satisfaction, skilling, and sales over the past 30+ years. Dr. Cotton began her professional career as a scientist/practitioner, helping psychiatry residents learn how to conduct psychotherapy and leading NIH-funded research pertaining to victims of violent crime. Bitten by the dot.com bug in the late 1990s, she left academics to pursue a variety of positions at technology companies, including 20+ years at Microsoft, where she has held positions in Sales Enablement & Operations, Enterprise Commercial Sales, Incubation, Microsoft Consulting Services (ISD), & Partner organizations. Dr. Cotton received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Duke University and currently resides in Florida with her husband and two daughters. In her spare time, you can find Bonnie with her husband on the pickleball court, mountain biking, at their cabin in Western NC, or thrifting with her daughters.
